Learn more about spiritual counseling
  • The application ensures we’re a good mutual fit. I want to provide the best support for your unique journey, and this process helps us both determine if working together aligns with your needs and my approach. While I have worked with people from countless diverse backgrounds, I want to make sure that you are receiving the best support for your particular beliefs, values, challenges, hopes, and aspirations.

  • Sessions are tailored to your needs and might include deep conversation, interactive spiritual teaching, or guided contemplative practices like meditation, breathwork, and gratitude exercises. Each meeting serves wherever you are along your path.

  • While spiritual counseling can often resemble traditional psychotherapy, there are some important differences. I’m a spiritual teacher, not a psychotherapist. Our work focuses specifically on your spiritual life—questions of meaning, purpose, and God. Since spiritual life encompasses everything, we explore how these deeper questions connect to your everyday challenges and joys.

  • I typically meet with clients monthly or weekly, depending on their needs. I generally work with people who commit to regular, ongoing sessions. Occasionally, I offer a few one-time sessions each month, which I announce on Instagram and Facebook.

  • My primary work is creating leadership programs for spiritual leaders and teaching at Yale Divinity School. Therefore, I only have a handful of spaces each week for one-on-one work. Folks can be on the wait list for several months or longer.

  • I will be in touch within 48 hours of receiving your application.

  • My fee is $250 per session.

  • Sessions are one hour in length. All sessions are conducted via Zoom unless we arrange alternative plans. Upon booking, you’ll receive an Outlook calendar invite with the Zoom link included.

Payment is expected within 24 hours after each session. Payment can be made via Venmo (@brandon_nappi1) or PayPal (@brandonnappi, brandon.nappi@yale.edu).

    No-shows are non-refundable and non-transferable.

Sessions may be rescheduled with more than 24 hours notice at no charge.

Cancellations within 24 hours of your appointment still require full payment.

Clients must be 18 years or older to work with me.

You retain full responsibility for all decisions and actions taken before, during, and after our work together. Clear communication about your needs is essential. Please share your needs promptly when something isn’t serving you so we can make adjustments to provide the best possible care.

I take your privacy seriously and maintain strict confidentiality. However, I’m professionally obligated to breach confidentiality if you express immediate intent to harm yourself or others, or if you disclose neglect of someone in your care. In such cases, I’ll work to ensure everyone’s safety, which may include connecting you with crisis resources.

If you’re experiencing a crisis, please reach out to trusted individuals or qualified organizations immediately. In the US, call the 211 hotline.
